2 Weeks

I know a lot of people will look down on this, but I have finally realized that I am in love with someone. I have always believed that sometimes, love isn't a choice, as it just occasionally happens out of complete chance. So, this case is just automatic reflexes working in my brain. I ask that you try not to call me a pedophile or a hebephile, but I like, practically love a 17-year-old girl. The good thing about this is that I only have to wait about two weeks before she's officially a woman before I can do anything that won't be condemned by the majority of society. I've put a lot of careful thought into this, and I think it can work itself out.

For a little bit of backstory, I'm a 23-year-old male, and she's a 17-year-old female. We know each other because we work at the same place, but we rarely have the same shifts together. Well, I barely know her because we don't talk much even though she has interacted with me a few times previously.

On Memorial Day of this year, we had the same shift, and I caught her staring at me, and we stared at each other in peace for a few seconds. Yesterday, she called me "buddy" for the first time instead of calling me by my actual name. I think that was a step in the right direction as she's becoming more comfortable with me after working together for four months. Today, as I was waiting for my ride (I've taken the driver's test two times and failed it twice, so it's not like I haven't tried, I've just lost interest), I was outside right before the parking lot began. I saw her walking towards me so she could start her shift once inside. We were both wearing sunglasses (she always wears her sunglasses, whereas I only sometimes do) and I could tell she was looking at me. As this girl was walking past me, she looked at me, raised her eyebrows, smiled, and said, "Hey." to me. She said it before I could say it, but I still said it back to her after she had told it to me. Also, there was another coworker of ours that was getting into his ride's car. She could've said "hey" to him, but she didn't.

Would you consider this/these as (a) good sign(s), especially if I'm considering having romantic relations with this girl once she is of age?
