dating apps just not working for me? any advice?

Im an 18 year old guy and been in one short relationship before and looking to expand my horizons,I just finished high school and am looking to get into dating. I tried tinder,coffee meets bagels and hinge but I keep striking out.girls just rarely give me the time of day.I know im no ryan seacrest but I would say im a pretty decent looking guy,plus I workout,I enjoy cooking video games sports beer travelling Horror movies,nature ect so Its not like talking to me is like talking to a door. I m not expecting a ton of attention but damn 4 matches and 2 of them unmatched me once I tried to start a decent conversation. In my opinion the problem with online dating is just girls have so many options and maybe therefore over estimate there leagues I guess. Im talking to one chick from my school shes a year younger so I might just ask her out and see how it goes,I think its best to meet girls on instagram or in person. Maybe im not very photogenic but I asked others how my photos were and they said they were pretty good. so im confused.

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones.
