I missed an opportunity with a girl and it’s been killing me

This was my last week of college so everyone’s been going out almost every night. A few days ago this girl I knew brought one of her friends out with us and I really hit it off with her. Super attractive, had a lot in common, similar personalities, etc. We ended up ditching everyone and walked around the downtown area of our college all night for like an hour and a half. We all met up at my neighbors place at the end of the night and hung out there. I decided not to make a move then and we hugged and she went back to her place with a friend. The next day my neighbors and that girl asked me to go out again but I already had plans that night and - seeing as this was one of my last nights out with some other friends - I couldn’t ditch them, so I declined. Yesterday I was drunk with the mutual friend and she said that the girl liked me and that she could’ve set me up. It was my last night at college so that’s never gonna happen. Im just kicking myself and wish we’d have met earlier. DAM...

Help ASAP (F)

Ok... so brace yourself for a long story. (Before Fifth Grade) Ever since Kindergarten there has been this boy in my grade. I never really talked with him because he was really shy, but he was always kinda cool to me. He was the type of boy that none of my friends liked, and quite honestly, I didn’t either. He was really quiet and never opened up to people. (In Fifth Grade) Our schools band program starts in fifth grade. When we started the band in fifth grade, we were the only two people. The band room in our school is like a five minute walk on campus away from our classroom.Because it was only us, the teachers always let us walk down by ourselves without a teacher. During these five minutes a day we got really close, and soon became really good friends. We would talk about girls, boys, games, drama, anything, and he really opened up to me. (Now my Eigth Grade Year) Flash forward to the beginning of the year, and he calls me before school starts on the first day, and asks me what...

Feel like I keep coming back to where I started from

I am a 23 year old male who wants to find a girl who I can casually date, hook up, or maybe have a long term relationship with. The past month, I have been putting myself out there more like going to bars and approaching women in the most random settings. While most women that I approached were relatively receptive and I was able to have some great conversations, it seems that I always hesitated when it came to asking for a number. I am also on a bunch of dating apps and I had my fair share of matches there but none of the conversations would really lead anywhere. It does get frustrating after a bit and I'm considering deleting them altogether. I went on a handful of dates but again none of them led anywhere. Right now it's kinda hard for me to land a date because most women who I talk to would either stop responding or respond with the least amount of effort possible. It just seems that no matter what progress i seem to be making, I always end up back where I started. This is...

I keep getting sent off, but getting mixed signals! Help, guys

Hey! So I have a bit to a dilemma. There was this guy, I met online. I was surprised when I saw he matched with me: super handsome, educated & well, super handsome! We started chatting for a bit and after a few days, he asked for my snap. We talked for a few weeks but I was incredibly busy, so we pushed off on making plans for about a month. The next month came around (April) & we made plans. Unfortunately, due to work, I missed it entirely. Of course, I apologized and offered to make the reservations and everything as a do-over and then, I did! I made the reservations a week in advance and... he never showed. I didn’t text him & just went home. The next afternoon, he texts me apologizing saying he got arrested for speeding (going over 100) and I let it go. I mean, I assumed that was out of his power. The next week he wanted to make plans and go to this park near his house. The whole day we were texted and he was giving me very vague directions and times and he’s new to my...

Deleting Instagram because everyone is either engaged, married or pregnant...

It’s become increasingly harder to stay positive despite all the dating setbacks (ghosting etc) when everyone in my social media feed is either engaged, married or pregnant. Can’t help but to feel like I’m the broken one. I try apps, classes, bouldering (an activity I love). I go to the gym constantly. I socialize at concerts, smile at people, go parties I’m invited to.... but still single as ever. Besides deleting Instagram, how do I keep pure jealousy at bay? Tips a recently-ish single 25M with not much to show for it (pictures, friends) trying to get into online dating?

Maybe because it's a boring Saturday night, but I might write a lot. Bear with me. About me I'm a 25 year old in NYC who is recently single from a 3+ year relationship. The break up was mutual - our long term life goals did not match up and we had trouble living together. I met her in person during college via some then-friends. During those three years (first three years after college) I did not make any close friends and the ones I've had moved away. Mostly my fault, of course. Moreover, my ex an I aren't the kind of people that like to take pictures so I also don't have any pictures. She is a busy law student so I got too comfortable just hanging around her while she studied (I work just 9-5). Anyway, fast forward to now. I want to start dating again, but I've no idea how online dating for someone in my position works. I'm not going to claim I am some hidden gem. I'm shorter than average (5 7), not ugly but I don't turn any heads, and skinny...
