I did a self sabotage

So, I had a couple of awesome dates with someone I find to be absolutely gorgeous that I met on a dating app. We agreed to meet again when we knew our upcoming schedules and texted a little.

However, instead of being happy and embracing something that could’ve been a lot of fun and mutually beneficial, all I could think about was how this would end like prior flings. I’m not sure I can take the whole “you’re a great guy, but I don’t feel a spark” after weeks of seeing someone spiel again. So I deleted her number without responding - self sabotage.

I thought dating and rejection would get easier over time, but the hurt only seems to have added up over time, even after taking extended breaks. Anyone ever feel like this and have thoughts on moving forward?
