How to find a partner with my schedule?

I (25M) work rotating 12 hour shifts on a three week on and one week off rotation where I swap between days and nights. I've been wanting to get back into the dating scene again, but outside of dating one of my coworkers (non-option because that would be too messy and complicated if things go downhill), I really don't see how to start and maintain a relationship without the time issue coming up constantly. Any advice would be appreciated. I've been single for a couple years now after my last GF split to go jetsetting to the other side of the country so I'm also a little out of practice with flirting or how to approach women.

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
