Girl has really really bad breath

A girl I am seeing (a little over a month now) has really bad sulphur breath. She is really cool and really attractive. But every time we kiss, I just cant take it. I've been trying to power through to see if it was a one off occurrence but I think its connected to a medical issue (she is lactose intolerant and has really bad gut issues). I am torn how to tell her. I like her but I feel I would only connect to her as a friend from now on. I also don't want to hurt her feelings. How do I go about this where I am firm but also cognizant of her feelings. I am almost leaning towards breaking it off due to me not feeling it anymore. But I also feel I should tell her the real reason.
