Wants to be a dad?

I met this guy on an dating app and we started talking. We hit it off well and there is tons of attraction between us. It’s been a week. We are both in the mid/late 30’s with no kids. He brought it asking how come I haven’t had any and if I didn’t want any. I told him I’ve always wanted them but didn’t meet the person to do it with until later in life (which was the last ex) but unfortunately it didn’t happen. He then told me he is ready for it in his life and wants to meet that person to do it with. I asked one of my good male friends and he told me to be careful because it’s apparently one of the tactics some guys to use to get laid without protection? I thought it was wired and quite forward for this guy to bring it up, not being sexiest but I’ve never heard of a guy who’s keen on finding out if the girl he meets is ready to have a baby. (As a woman at my age, it doesn’t surprise me if we girls bring this question up to the guy, cause we don’t want to waste time dating a guy who’s not for it).

As much as I can understand baby talks could be a way to get laid in some cases, he talks in depth and seriously about how he is ready and doesn’t want to get much older to start. I even confronted him it comes across he is only after sex and he was confused and probably offended? that how wanting a baby is a fling and if he wanted sex he would just have been open about it. He said he is ready and knows what he wants now, and knowing I want the same thing and he likes me (after two meetings) and he doesn’t want to waste time. He also knows conceiving could take ages.

He is a more than decent looking guy with a stable job, living environment, relationship with his family in his mid 30’s, never been married never had kids. He is well spoken, nice, and fun to be around. To me it’s rare to find a guy like him and sounds almost too good to be true? Would a guy try this just to get laid or do you think he is being truthful?

The difference between being right and being understood

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.
