bar worker started a conversation with me and there was chemistry i believe

i went to a pub alone the other day and there was an attractive girl who works there who picks the songs, she introduced herself to me and started talking about different kinds of things with me, only (there were more guys who went alone there) note that its the first time i went there, anyways i was kind of startled because I'm not really good with social interactions especially with people I find attractive but i kept it going..i felt a lot of chemistry, anyways we already had eachother on social media but we never really talked, so I decided to message her when i went home and she was pretty dry via texts. Do you think she lost interest because I didn't try hard enough or was she just friendly because I went there for the first time? I wish i showed more interest in the bar or even ask her out but I'm a shy person and I regret it now.
