Do i write to this girl i met at a party?

So i was at this party with a bunch of my friends, but there were a few people i didn't know. One of these people was this girl. We were all just having a good time and sat talking around the table, playing games etc, so i didn't really talk that much with her 1 on 1. But she seems very sweet and nice etc etc and theres just something about her i really liked. I kinda got the feeling she might be eyeing me too cuz i felt she was looking at me a lot. When i talked to her or she said something, or if anyone said something funny, i tried looking at her and smile (which sounds kinda weird, but i dont think it was), just to like laugh with her if that makes sense, to show i was interested in her i guess. But at the same time im very insecure and such so theres no chance i would like ask for her number or anything, especially since there wasnt a point there werent like 5 other friends around.
Anyways, the party ended and she was headed home so was i, and i never got her number or atleast made it clear that i liked her.
She was on the facebook event, so i know what her facebook is. So i was considering just texting her saying something like: hey, its me from the party. it was really nice meeting you or something. Honestly i just dont know how, and i have never written to a girl like this ever before. Shes like a friends, friend, so im just extremely scared that she didnt like, care or notice me at all and i'll just make a huge fool of myself, which is just tough considering my mental health problems already.
Is it weird to write to her, considering we didn't really connect that much 1 on 1 etc?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
