"I don't have a lot of time atm but I'll get back"

Me (20M), met this girl (23F) in driving classes. After getting to know her I took a chance walking with her for 10-15 minutes to the train station as she lives in another City (30 minutes away). I think we kinda hit it off but I'm autistic so it's not really something I'm good at picking up. She seemed genuinely interested in me and kept the conversation going when I couldn't.

Anyways, I shot her a text the next day saying I had a good time and asked if she was up for meeting again. She answered back saying she enjoyed it as well and suggested a coffee and a walk. I then asked when she was available to which she replied that she doesn't have a lot of time at the moment but she'll get back when she does as soon as possible. Also used this emoji "😋" if that makes any difference.

I know she works a lot and does nightshifts, and does a lot of pendling between her and my city as she works here but I still can't for the life of me figure out what to do now that it's been a week. I don't for any second doubt that she's busy because of work since she at some driving classes (Saturdays) seemed tired but it's still confusing.

So what to do?

1) Trust that's she's genuinely busy and see if she gets back when possible 2) Be proactive and suggest a weekend where she's possibly available and thereby get a straight answer if she's interested 3) ?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
