Should I ask my coworker out?

I (19m) and her (20f) have been working at the same store for a little over 2 years, she lives about an hour away for college while I commute to my classes. We talk all the time when we’re working about anything and always have great conversations. The only thing that makes me unsure is our connection outside of work. We would get into the periods where we would snap each other usually once a day but after a few months we stop snapping. We were texting throughout August, but she would always reply after a day or two and hasn’t text me back in a week at this point (but I left her delivered on a week since I was annoyed with her answering so late) But when she sees me at work, she talks to me like nothing happened. She just went back to school and this feeling I have for her is eating away at me and I just want to get it off my chest. I’m not sure what to do in this situation if I should ask her out, tell her I like her, or just shut up.

Another thing is that her childhood best friend also works at the same store as I do and were somewhat close as in how long we’ve been working there. A part of me wants to ask her about my situation and let her in that I like her friend, but I don’t know. Any help with this would be great.

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
