Is it my turn to reach out?

29F I reconnected with a guy I know from childhood. We had an amazing first date. 4 days after we saw each other again. Spent a lot more time together and got physical. This was last Wednesday. After he dropped me off, he said we should see each other over the weekend. It bugged me I didn't hear from him that Thursday all day, given what we did. Anyways. Friday came he texted me around 9pm saying he was thinking of me with a kiss face. I say I was thinking of him too, he asks how my night is going... told him good, I had my sister visiting so I hung out with her. at this point it was about 10:30pm. He hearted the message about my night early in the morning and did not respond to other part of text when I asked "hows yours?" as in his night.

No text Saturday. I was like hmm okay we were supposed to hang. Don't know if he got the impression I was busy with family. Then Sunday he texts saying "whats your week looking like. I wanna see you." I hate playing games but I noticed he isn't super responsive and I was trying to read into everything. I responded almost like 24 hours later saying "my schedule is pretty busy during the week but it would be nice to see you." He said "it would be nice to see you to." I loved the message. Now its Friday and haven't heard from him. I am reading into all the behavior and trying to match is texting style I guess but I really do not want him to think I am not interested.

Is it my turn to reach out or can I wait? Also does his behavior seem not right in any way?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
