In a weird situation. Do I just give up? Is she playing games? Is she still interested?

Long story short this girl came up to me at a bar about a month ago. I got her phone number and Snapchat and we went out to dinner a few days later. We both had fun and met up again on the last night of school at the bars where I walked her home and she told me she wanted to hang during the summer and even next school semester.

A day after we got home from school I asked her out on a date. She said she was down and was excited to see me. Well the date never happened due to her claiming to be busy with getting ready for her internship and visits to see her friends at their colleges cuz she was gonna be gone during the first 2 weekends of summer. She told me we had all summer to make something work.

Things continually got strange after this. She stopped our streak on snap and started texting less so I checked in with her to make sure I wasn’t wasting my time with her. She said she was still interested and wanted to hang out but explained why she was busy and how she stopped snapping a ton of people due to her being busy with her interning. She insisted she wanted to hang out again and a few days later she texts me out of the blue for the first time in a few days and says she will now be a lot more free. We chat a bit and I tell her I can drive up to see her since she only lives about an hour away and she agrees.

A few days later she unfollowed me on Instagram along with like 100 other people. She only follows a very small amount of people now but it’s still really weird. A few days after this she comments the heart eyes emoji under one of my posts on be real, a social media app thing like snap. This makes me think she’s still interested so I text her the next day asking her out on a date for this weekend. She says she should be able to and we talk about a bit about our jobs but when I text her asking what time will work for this weekend she just doesn’t respond but responds to my text above it asking about her internship.

I’m genuinely confused at the whole thing. She seems to be playing games and it’s really insane. One day she will be super cold and the next she will give me a bunch of signs. I just unfollowed her on Instagram and we haven’t spoken in 2 days and we were talking about hanging out on Saturday so I’m not sure what to do. Should I just wait it out and see if she texts me or should I reach out again and try to confirm the date?

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
