I think a girl I set up a date with might have ghosted me because of my age

After finally getting my crush's number we started texting and it felt like everything was going well. I even set up a date with her and she seemed very receptive to the idea of going out with me. Our date was set up for a little over a week from now because she is going out of town for some business. Regardless we have been texting for a little and in a conversation we were talking about college to which she brought up a question asking how old I am. I responded “20 but I’m about to turn 21 in a month” and then asked her the same question back. She hasn’t responded to the text and it has been 2 days. I saw her on the day of sending that text at the gym. I didn’t say anything to her simply because she looked really into her workout and I didn’t wanna bother her. A mutual friend of mine who knows her told me that she just turned 22 a couple months ago. I’m kinda confused on what had happened, I have never been rejected for my age specifically.

Any pointers on how I should proceed from here because I really do want to get to know this girl and I feel like I lost my chance before I had one to begin with. The next time I’ll be able to see her in person is when she comes back from her trip and that is when we have a date set up for. So as of right now the only way of communication is through text

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
