just finished my first date!!!

I matched with this girl on an app and we were messaging back and forth every day for a week before I asked her out. The messages were detailed, long and engaging. But due to my work schedule conflict we had to reschedule our meeting for the following week. The messages slowly started to die down and she ghosted me for two weeks. I was about to delete the app before she sent me another message apologizing for ghosting and saying she was busy with work and went on vacation. She asked if I was still interested in meeting up. I said yes and scheduled it for today at a local dessert cafe.

She looked a little bit different from her profile pics but not drastically. I could she put time I to doing her makeup and hair and picking out a nice outfit. We sat down and ordered our desserts and started talking about everything and anything - hobbies, what we do in our free time, relationship with friends and family, work, school, Netflix and Disney plus shows. There weren't really any awkward pauses. I asked her how her dating experience has been so far and what she is looking for. She replied saying her dating app experience has been bad and that she went out on a couple dates but they didn't lead to anything. She said she isn't a great texter and much prefers to meet people in person. She said she is looking for something serious. We continued to chat but she then said she had to leave early because she was doing dinner with friends later so we wrapped things up. She offered to pay but I refused. I walked her to her car, she said it was nice to meet me, and we hugged before she left.

Overall I am still processing how I feel the date went and am deciding whether to ask her out again. Probably will send a text to her later today.
