/u/AdrianaSage on Sexuality Questions... please help me

"Am I asexual with a romantic attraction to men (what would that even be called?!) or just traumatised. Or can you be asexual due to trauma as well?"

You don't mention your gender, but that would be called either heteroromantic asexual or homoromantic asexual depending on how you identify.

The concept of sexual orientation, and especially asexuality, is still evolving. There's no official definitions that consistently used by everyone. It's really up to each person to determine what they identify as. If you feel like the term asexual fits you, then it's entirely valid to consider yourself asexual. If it feels more correct to think of yourself as just straight or gay but suffering from trauma, then that's also completely valid. It's fine if you want to consider yourself questioning. It's fine if you want to identify under the broader queer umbrella which includes asexuality but also includes any other form of abnormal sexual response. It's fine if you pick one label now and later discover that another label seems to fit better.
