Not long, probably just about a year or so. And what you went through was absolutely horrible, especially since when you were a teen, I feel like Asexuality was never really a thing that a lot of people knew about, so that’s what led to everything that happened. It doesn’t excuse how you felt about it though.

For bringing awareness, I don’t think I’ve really tried to bring a lot of awareness, but when people don’t know what it means, if it’s irl I just explain it to them but if it’s on the internet then I tell them to search things up about it. That’s all I can say on that situation, sorry.

And about the people in my school, I really have no idea why they act extremely stupid. Aside from making people feel uncomfortable, they make a lot of racist and homophobic jokes, some even saying the n word with a hard r. I don’t know if it’s because they’re uneducated, or if they actually think that way, or if they’re just doing it to look “edgy”. It’s probably the latter.

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones.
