I'm in quite the predicament

So about 8 or 9 months ago I (17M) asked a girl (16F) to something similar to a homecoming dance on a date and was rejected. She said that she wasn't looking to be in a relationship at that moment in time, however I suspect that it was a mix of her stated reason and me not being great at taking care of myself (think chubby short nerd who doesn't frequently shave, yeah, I cringed too). I've started working out regularly and have gotten skinnier as well as gotten on top of doing better with my hygiene. I'm still a nerd, but a little less awkward and less overbearing with my nerdiness. I want to ask her on a date, but I'm not sure if that is socially acceptable. It seems like she is flirting with me, but I am notoriously bad at reading signs like flirting. Should I go for it? Should I wait and ask in a few months? Should I take the L and move on? I really like this girl, she's super nice, smart, and down-to-earth. She checks off pretty much all the green flags, ...

People who use dating apps just to find friends..

Is this common? I met this guy on okcupid. I knew, not to sound shallow, just from looking at his pictures and reading most of his profile that he was probably a little out of my league. Incredibly hot. Very artistic. I decided to shoot my shot, so I sent him a witty message. This was back in December. We exchanged messages over the app for a few weeks before moving into texting. The texting was never altogether flirtatious. It was friendly, but in the beginning I thought it was just assumed that we were both attracted to each other because we matched on a dating site. I also thought it would turn flirtier once we saw each other. Before we met up for the first time, I asked him if it was a date or a friendly hang because I didn't want to feel dejected if it didn't pan out the way I expected, and I made a joke by apologizing if that was awkward to ask. He was super nice about it and said it wasn't a weird thing to ask, but that he wanted to keep it as a "mutual love f...

Blocking a guy

So I blocked my fwb about a month ago because I didn't like the way he was treating me but I miss him so I unblocked him. I know some people think blocking is immature and maybe it is. I'm sure he knows I blocked him and I wanna text him but I feel like I might be rejected. Is it worth a shot? Intelligence or looks

Dating while working (F27)

I work in a very demanding job, where I travel a LOT and am in a very male-dominated field (catastrophe adjuster). Like I won't see a female coworker for months kind of job. I deal a lot with contractors and roofers and construction guys. Usually I'm working like a dog and have little to no time to do anything else, much less date. And I always feel funny about the idea of going on a date with someone I met through work, because I try to maintain very obvious professional boundaries. As a result I havent been on a date in 6 months and the last guy I did not meet through work. On the very rare occasions that I do get asked out, I usually end up brushing it off. Obviously, the result is that I never go on dates anymore, or do anything with other people while working. Today a contractor asked me about 3 times to dinner/drinks/etc and while I didnt say no, I haven't said yes either. This is a guy I'll see once professionally and then never again , so it's not like I...

Do men with a lot of access to casual sex find satisfaction in a LTR?

If a man has a lot of success in the dating scene - hooking up and having multiple FWBs - would a monogamous relationship become boring after the novelty wears off? What can I do to make girls more attracted towards me?

Hi all, I would like to know what I (19M) can do to get girls to become attracted towards me and hopefully end up in a relationship. I haven't been in a single relationship to this day and I would like to be in one some day soon, I'm not in a rush and I'm not trying to seem desperate either. If you could leave some examples, tips or anything in particular that I should know that will help me out such as what to say, what to do, where to meet girls or anything at all is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Submitted June 22, 2019 at 12:25AM Hi all, I would like to know what I (19M) can do to get girls to become attracted towards me and hopefully end up in a relationship.
