Why did a girl who I asked out, start acting scared of me after she rejected me?

She brought her boyfriend near her when i'm around. Almost as if he's her bodyguard to protect her. When he was never to be seen before. And she gives me aggressive stares every time she sees me now. I haven't spoken to her or said anything after the rejection. But i'm confused as to why she is so intimidated of me when I haven't even done anything weird. Am I supposed to do something to ease her suspicion of me?

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones.
