Date #349 and still no kiss

Help! I've never had a girlfriend before (I was a huge nerd, turned out pretty okay if you ask me), I'm 29-ish, virgin and never kissed before.

I'm seeing this girl who's amazing and I think we got the hots for each other. However, as I've never kissed or been kissed before, I do not dare to initiate our first kiss. I think we've had over 20 'dates', she's way into cuddling and close contact which I like very much as well, but it just doesn't really come off the ground for some reason. I know for sure that she won't initiate, she's waiting for me to do it, but how? Any advise welcome!

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
