Should I [m] ask her if I’m in the friendzone?
I met this girl, let’s call her Jess, a few months ago on a dating app, but I’m worried I might be in the friendzone. She has shown some signs that she’s interested in me (usually texts me first, asks me to hang out) but I can’t help but feel friendzone vibes (she vents to me a lot, on a couple of occasions has mentioned that other guys are cute etc.)
Recently, I’ve had another girl, let’s call her Kayla, tell me that they eventually want a serious relationship with me and wants to start to get to know me a lot more. She’s a nice girl, but my feelings for Jess are a lot stronger and I don’t want to lead Kayla on and get more serious with her if there’s a chance of something happening with Jess.
So, given the situation, is it appropriate to just flat out ask Jess if I’m in the friend zone or if she thinks of me in any non-platonic manner, or is there a better way of doing things?
