Everyone's telling me to shoot my shot but I'm too scared

So my cousin on my mother's side recently got married to her boyfriend of 10+ years and it was a really nice wedding where I was her bridesmaid, but the story starts if we backpedal to a month ago. (I'm really bad at telling stories so sorry in advance.)

Part of the wedding preparations was the RSVP website, so when my cousin shared the link with me, I looked through it. One of the pages was dedicated to the bridal party and groomsmen, so we all had our pictures on there. There was one guy I thought who was cute and it turned out that he's the groom's cousin.

Fast forward a little bit, the bride's brother (also my cousin) was also one of the groomsmen and he went to the bachelor party. They pretty much all got drunk and started talking about the bridesmaids who they'll be paired up with based on height order. My cousin messaged me and asked me if I'm dating anyone and I tell him that I've never dated anyone, but then he just leaves it at that, which I found really suspicious. I was away for school so I had to wait until the next week when I went back home to ask him in person, but he eventually spilled. Apparently, the groom's cousin thought I was cute and asked the groom if it'd be okay for "the groom's cousin to date the bride's cousin". After hearing that, there was nothing much to do besides wait for the wedding to happen and see if he'll make a move.

So the rehearsal dinner and wedding comes around and we're partners for the wedding and reception entrance. We talked a little and he was really nice and funny, but we weren't really able to have any meaningful conversation that allowed us to get to know each other (weddings are so busy and everything happens so fast). After the bride and groom's first dance, the DJ calls upon everyone to join in and dance along. Since the bridal party and groomsmen were still on the floor from the entrance, we were basically across each other from the dance floor, so we look at each other and shrug and get together to dance. So we're slow dancing and talking a little (but I'm kind of deaf and was freaking out about dancing with him so I dont know if I missed anything he said) - but after that, we didn't really interact for the rest of the night :( The next day, our families had brunch and we talked a little again but no numbers were exchanged or anything.

He doesn't have any social media, but he does have fb messenger (without fb). People are saying I should reach out to him, esp since we found out he lives 30 minutes away from where I go to school, but I feel like it's awkward if I do so esp since he didn't really explicitly tell me he had fb messenger (I just found it on my own). Plus my confidence is shot since I don't know if he's even still interested and I heard that his mom would like him better with my cousin on my dad's side. And when my cousin's now husband heard that, he said he should be off-limits now 😂 so I don't know, what are your opinions? Should I reach out or just let it blow over 😭
