is it a date or we’re just hanging out?

so i (f21) work with this guy m(22). We’re acquaintances/kinda friends but we’d never hung out before. He started sharing a lot of music with me and we talked about movies and we had a lot in common. He randomly messaged me asking if I wanted to come over and watch a movie. I normally don’t go to peoples homes if we’ve never hung out before but i went anyways. I get there and he had bought me a drink and rolled us a blunt. So we start the movie and we’re sitting CLOSE like thighs to thighs arms to arms. We watched the movie and then he suggested we play a board game. It was some kind of war strategy game so he pretty much let me win. Then we went and got some food, ate, and he paid but then asked “are you bisexual?” I replied “yeah why? did you think I was gay?” And apparently he did think I was gay. After that we went back to my car and I went home. He messaged me thanking me for coming.

Any thoughts on this? Was this just a hang out///am I wrong for thinking he’s into me?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
