How to go about a girl saying “she just got out of a relationship, so doesn’t want anything too serious right now”

Been going out with this girl for about a month now. She slept over last night and we finally did the dirty. Afterwards she said “you’re going to regret that” which is a concerning thing to hear lmao, but I asked why and she said “I’m not looking for something too serious right now, I really like hanging out with you but I just got out of a relationship so I’m not sure how ready I am for something serious” I told her that was fine and she didn’t need to be upset about it (cause she was visibly upset). I would want something serious eventually with this girl, but am willing to take it as slow as she wants. Should I just keep my distance and not be “forcing” something more serious on her? Or just go about the natural progression of causally dating her and see what it turns into.
