I think a more accurate description could be “_____ attraction only possible after an emotional connection established”

So while many people are sexually attracted to potential partners, but don’t think about or act on that until they establish an emotional connection, a Demisexual person doesn’t experience any sexual attraction at all until that connection is made (and the connection won’t necessarily be romantic attraction)
