Finances for our flat
So my fiancé and I have bought a flat together and we decided to be 50/50 on things. My parents have gifted us a lot of stuff including a bed. I have also put stuff in ( many kitchen utensils, bath maths etc etc ) that I see as petty cash.
My fiancé however always charges me my half when he buys things that I find petty. I’ve brought it up and he’s said his mother is gifting us money for a fridge. It never happened. We ended up paying for it, cool. It’s just I find his lack of humility is quite off putting. Especially as he’s never said ‘ ah tell your parents I said thank you’. Not once. I don’t know I just feel like I’ve saved him money yet he won’t do the same for me. I’m not even bothering to bring it up again but am I right to be quite disappointed?
He’s also moved in before me and expects me to pay for the bills too? Even though I won’t be using the electricity as I won’t be there.
