Why don't you make your character graysexual instead? I'm not completely asexual but most of the time I find the thought of sex somewhere between boring, overtly complicated, and even kinda gross when I think about the whole reproduction aspect of it, but I get really horny when I meet someone that I find both intellectually and physically attractive and who also treats me with respect.
