Hello, I hope y'all are doing well. I've been wanting to date but I have no Idea how to go about it. I'm just not sure about the whole dating thing, and I have a few general questions: - What's weird to talk about/ask and what's not? - How long after talking to someone is it appropriate to ask them out? - What if the other person gossips about it? - How do I go about dating in the sense of talking to people to get to know them better and effectively communicating responses and stuff about my self? - How can I tell when someone is uncomfortable or if they're genuinely enjoying the interaction/ how can I tell how someone feels about me? I need some advice on stuff like this as I have absolutely not clue what I'm doing and I have next to no experience. We’ve been on this topic since yesterday and according to him white privilege doesn’t exist and I understand he thinks this way because he grew up in a very close minded area. I’ve talked to him about this topic for hours and tried explaining him multiple ways POC don’t have that reviled he like other white people have, yet he says that systemic racism isn’t a thing and that white privilege hasn’t done anything for him and that he grew up poor and he never had white privilege. He also said that I have never been oppressed or a victim of systemic racism. I told him that having a white privilege is a disadvantage to POCs but it’s not a bad thing. People don’t get to choose this privilege and they are born with it, but according to him it is offensive to say that white people have privilege because they don’t.
