Personally, I'd use desire or wants. We can actively celebrate and value desires and wants within the context of consensual dynamics. Needs makes consent a bit trickier. Other needs don't impinge upon other people's bodies, so their ethics operate differently imo. Like, if you were at a well and I came up to drink some water and you said I couldn't because it was your well and I died, there's a real ethical argument that you were in the wrong.
