Sexual attraction can change. Who knows. But if you haven't really liked anybody sexually, you are asexual. If you never felt a romantic attraction, you are aromantic. You can be both. As an aro I do not really understand the difference between romantic attraction and just being close friends, so taking sex out of the equation does confuse me even more sometimes (and I'm not even sexually attracted to almost anyone either, it's just that I think I can understand it better), but I really don't think the people who say this shit are saying it in that sense.
